Missionary Myers

So I am a little delayed in posting this, but in March Michael & I had the opportunity to drive his younger brother Jason to the MTC in Provo, UT. It was a neat experience and I am so proud of him for choosing to serve the Lord. He is in the San Jose, CA mission and loving every minute of it. It is so exciting to read his weekly e-mails and hear about the amazing things he is experiencing.
Before we dropped Jason off at the MTC we went to one of his favorite restaurants - J-Dogs. It's a hot dog place just off the BYU campus that serves the most life-altering amazingly delicious hot dogs. I want to drive all the way back to Provo just so I can eat there again - they are just that good.
We also ate at the Rodizio Grill in Salt Lake. It's a Brazilian grill and it was AMAZING! It's an all you can eat meat grill and salad bar. The servers are dressed up and they bring the freshly cooked meat straight to your table on a spit and cut a portion right onto your plate. Some of my favorites - Banana Frita (grilled bananas coated in cinnamon sugar), garlic beef, bacon wrapped turkey medallions, sweet & spicy chicken, grilled ham and grilled pineapple. We also discovered a Brazilian soda called Guarana. Its delicious! We discovered that we can buy it online for about $1 a can but we haven't brought ourselves to do it yet. :)
While we were in Utah we had the opportunity to stay the night in Salt Lake and visit the Provo, Salt Lake & Logan temples. It's amazing how different and how beautiful they all are. I love the feeling I get when I'm on sacred ground, even if I don't go inside I can feel the Saviors presence there and I'm so grateful that are places like that on this earth. We are truly blessed.
On the way home we stopped in Logan (Amalga) to visit one of my best old buds Lacy and see her new baby Kael. :) It was a really great trip and it was so nice to get out of town for a few days and just spend time together. Here are a few pictures from along the way:
