Well we are doing well...at least I am! Last night at work Mike slipped and fell on the ice while carrying a TV to a customers car. Don't worry - he saved the TV! :) His left knee hit the ground first, then his hand with the TV on top of it, then his head hit the concrete. He immediately got a huge goose egg on his forehead above his left eye that turned red and purple. His knee didn't look too bad, just a little red where it hit the ground. After about 4 1/2 hours of icing the huge bump on his head, he pulled up his pant leg to check his knee which had grown to about 3 times it natural size! It was turning purple and looked there was an orange under his skin! Gross!!! We took him to the E.R. about 10 o'clock last night to get X-rays. It's not broken, thank goodness, however they put his leg in an immobilizer and gave him crutches! He has to visit with an orthopedic specialist this week to check for ligament damage. The swelling has gone down a bit, but the bruising is still spreading and darkening. As for his head...he had a mild concussion but is OK. The swelling on his forehead is gone but he has a pretty gnarly black eye. He should be OK, but he'll be miserable for another 3-6 weeks unless he has to have surgery on his knee...then who knows how long it will be.

Our Wedding Album

This is our first dog Ike. We got him from the pound when he was just a puppy. He was terribly sick with Parvo when we first got him and he almost died but we spent many sleepless nights up with him spoon feeding him medicine and making sure he was still breathing. Most dogs die from Parvo but eventually Ike pulled out of it and before long he was a normal puppy. Technically he was Mike's dog and while I loved him he always seemed to favor Mike over me. :) He was part Blood Hound and part Rottweiler which caused him to be quite territorial and aggressive sometimes, which lead to the reason we had to eventually get rid of him. He was always cuddly and made an excellent pillow. He is greatly missed.
